D is for denim

I fell in love with the denim dress over summer – I couldn’t get enough! And I was so excited to hear that denim will be big again in AW17 (Autumn Winter Season 2017).

What pleases me the most however is that all body shapes and sizes are able to rock the denim dress.

Take a look at my top 3 picks for the denim dress below –

Tencel Dress

The moment I laid eyes on this dress I had to have it! Tania Kay is a new plus size label available through Harris Scarfe and so far I am really impressed.

I adore the cut of this dress – it grazes your ankles but it is higher at the front to show off your legs.

It’s sleeveless so is lovely and cool for summer. I like the collar too – it can easily be worn in the office on a Friday with a pair of flats and is perfect for weekend breakfast or lunch dates.

I love the feel of the fabric on my skin too!

Brushed denim dress

I picked up this Mink Denim dress in Myer during November and am so glad I did!

Even though the denim is heavy, the style is slouchy and ridiculously comfortable. I like the way it drops and defines your legs (perfect for an apple shape like me) and love the tie up neck at the front.

I’m drawn to Mink Denim (an offshoot of Grab Denim) as they provide options very similar to regular sized fashion and you don’t feel like you’re missing out.
A great option again for the office on a Friday but even better for the weekend!

Tencel Tunic

Another great item by Mink Denim and still available at Myer
I love the lighter denim look and adore the cut out on the back of the tunic.
Every time I wear this tunic I feel wonderful and stylish. I’ve received a lot of complimentary comments when wearing it as well!
I team this with tights for the office or over black bike shorts on hot summer days.
